Why do you have to heat the knife? I don't have to heat the knife when I use Breakfree CLP. It is a synthetic and won't gum so maybe that's the difference between it and Miltec. That sounds like alot of trouble just to lube a knife, IMHO.

Dai aciona 1 freio encima do rolete usando oleo comum. Dai era metal no metal, usando uma camada de oleo, dai este negocio gritava e brecava. Tudo medido usando 1 acompanhamento por um torquimetro. O rolete ficou todo arranhado.

I don't think the MILITEC-1 people say their lube "soaks" into the metal, but rather "bonds" with it.
